We Examine The Challenges That Continue To Impede Widespread Adoption, Including Regulatory Hurdles, Ethical Considerations, And Technical Limitations Such As Perception Accuracy And Decision-Making Under Uncertainty. Additionally, We Explore Future Directions For Research And Development, Emphasizing The Need For Interdisciplinary Collaboration, Public Acceptance, And Robust Cybersecurity Measures. By Addressing These Challenges And Fostering Innovation, We Can Pave The Way For A Safer And More Efficient Autonomous Transportation Ecosystem.
